About the Tour

On this 6-day, 5-night tour
you will be treated to some of
the best scenery Texas has to
offer. If you would like to
spend a couple of days before
or after the tour in downtown
San Antonio, let us know and
we will make necessary
accommodations for you.

Shuttles will leave every
morning around 8:00 a.m. for
the cycling group, and around
10:00 a.m. for those taking the
excursions. Please click on the
links section for more information
about each destination.

The entire group will meet for
lunch every day at restaurants
specifically selected for their
unique and outstanding fare.

After lunch we will shuttle back
to the resort. Each evening the
chef will prepare a gourmet
meal with unique fare.

Tour Agenda


Day One

Arrive in San Antonio. We will have two shuttles
from the San Antonio airport. The first shuttle
will depart at 12:00 noon and the second one
will leave at 4:00 p.m. Taxi service is available
for $75.00.

Once you have checked in at the resort, you
can lounge by the pool, relax by the lake, go
fishing, or take a boat ride.

We will have a welcoming cocktail reception
beginning at 6:30 p.m., followed by a 5-course
dinner starting at 7:00 p.m.

Day Two
We will begin serving a continental breakfast
at 6:30 a.m. The shuttle will depart at 7:30 a.m.
to the town of New Braunfels (about 15 mins
away) where we will begin our ride. We will
have two ride options today. Our short ride will
be around 31 miles and the longer ride is 46
miles. The terrain for the short ride is mostly
flat, while the last half of the longer ride will be
very hilly.

The ride starts at the gazebo in the middle of
town, through the town of Gruene, and along
the banks of the scenic Guadalupe River. In
Statler, the short ride will loop back to the town
of Gruene. The longer ride will continue on to
the overlook of Canyon Dam before looping
back to Gruene.

At 1:00 p.m., the entire group will meet at the
restaurant overlooking the Guadalupe river for
a delicious Texas-style lunch.

Around 2:30 p.m., we will depart Gruene and
head back to the resort. Dinner will be served
at 7:00 p.m.

Day Three
The shuttle will depart at 6:30 a.m with a
continental breakfast served in route. We are
shuttling to the town of Kendalia (about 1
hour away) where we will begin our ride. We
will have two ride options today. Our short ride
will be around 30 miles and the longer ride, 60
miles. The terrain for the ride today is hilly.

We will ride through one of the prettiest parts of
the Texas Hill Country. We will end our
cycling part of the tour at the town of
Lukenbach, made famous by Willie Nelson and
Jerry Jeff Walker. We’ll spend some time here
before shuttling over to Becker Vineyards.

At 1:00 p.m. the entire group will meet at the
vineyard for wine tastings, followed by a
delicious lunch.

Around 3:30 p.m. we will depart the vineyard
and head back to the resort. Dinner will be
served at 7:00 p.m.

Day Four
Today we will be leaving directly from the lodge
spinning to the historic city of Gonzales. Home
of the “Come and Take it” cannon. Breakfast
will be served beginning at 7:00 a.m, with the
riders departing at 8:00 a.m. The ride today is
very hilly as we cycle past farmlands and
quaint little towns. The ride will be about
45 miles.

At 1:00 p.m. the non-cycling partners will meet
up with us at a world famous BBQ restaurant
for some great down home Texas smoked
BBQ. The shuttle will depart Gonzales to head
back to the lodge. The afternoon is yours, with
dinner being served at 7:00 p.m.

Day Five
Continental breakfast will start at 7:30 a.m. Our
shuttle will depart at 8:30 a.m. for a forty five
minute ride to the town of San Antonio and the
historic Alamo. We will take a brief tour of the
Alamo, and then head out on the mission trail.
The mission trail consists of lightly traveled
roads and dedicated bike paths, where we will
stop and tour 4 other missions.

At 1:00 p.m. we will meet up with the non riders
at a well know Mexican food restaurant. The
shuttle will depart at 2:30 p.m. to head back to
the lodge. The afternoon is yours, with dinner
being served at 7:00 p.m.

Day Six
We will have two shuttles to the San Antonio
Airport. The first shuttle will depart at 7:00 a.m.,
and the second shuttle will will leave at 11:00 a.m.
Taxi service is available for $75.00.
